Company History and Former Name

Tax Funding Limited was incorporated on August 4th, 2003, under the name R M Phipps & Co Limited.

The company was founded by Robert (Bob) Phipps, a well-respected finance professional, and traded independently in the UK financial services sector for over 17 years.

In December 2020, R M Phipps & Co Limited was acquired by Jeremy Hall, a long-standing figure in the UK leasing and asset finance industry and founder of WestWon Limited. A few years later, Bob Phipps retired after forging a wonderful working relationship with WestWon that lasted over ten years.

Transition to Tax Funding Limited

Following the acquisition, the company was renamed Tax Funding Limited, and its business model was reshaped to focus exclusively on HMRC funding for UK limited and LLP companies.

This strategic change allowed us to:

• Leverage the deep expertise, infrastructure and credibility of WestWon Limited
• Maintain the company’s long trading history and excellent credit file

All previous R M Phipps & Co client relationships and trading activity were absorbed into WestWon Limited, an FCA-regulated finance broker and lender also under Jeremy Hall’s direction.
